POSITION TITLE: Senior Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician

POSITION DUTIES:

Plan, design and develop fabrication work for orthotic or prosthetic devices using materials such as thermoplastic and thermosetting materials, metal alloys and leather using hand and power tools; monitor stock of supplies and materials and place orders as needed to maintain sufficient levels; identify potential issues with prosthetic devices; make models of patients' torsos, limbs, or amputated areas; create castings; provide education to clients on the application, use, care, and expected outcome for DME products as indicated by the physician instructions and manufacturer recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree of Science in Medicine. Plus 5 years of experience in orthodepics. Experience in planning and developing orthopedic and prosthetic devices, including braces, spinal orthoses, ankle/knee immobilizers, supports and corsets. Experience in instructing patients in wear and maintenance of orthotic devices. Proficient in Microsoft office.

RATE OF PAY: $52,354 per year"
